As I Walk Through The Land of Men...

As I walk through this land of men,

It’s hard for me to find a friend,

For hatred & sorrow has been the one

That has kept me company all the time

I’ve been betrayed by love

I’ve been betrayed by trust

But I will rise again

For vengeance is mine

Death & loneliness has visit me many times

Through it I’ve understand who I am

I never truly care about the world

For I’m a simple man searching for life

I’ve saw arrogance & deception of men through time & space

From the eyes and the lies from their face

But I always keep it in mind

For the thing that I will find

As I walk through this land of men

My world is different from the others

As I seen it in my perception

There a time when those who have fall will rise again

And the one that have rise will fall

With their faces smack to the wall

As their bones crushed beneath the sand

Their heartbeat will stop beating

As their blood start running

Away from their vein

For now I walk forward & never look back

Through this ancient land of men

Until the death visit me again

Happy Birthday Papa & Apad...

On the 1st & 2nd November every year it's a date to be remember for my family. It's my father & brother birthday. My brother would be 17 this year & are studying hard for SPM. Hope that he got a great result for SPM so he could go for pre-medical course. A dream of a son & a father.

Yes, my late father encourage his sons to become a doctor but for me, I've fail to live in his dream. I want to make sure that both of my brother go for medical school since the other one are working as a medical assistant at HSAJB.
Now the time for my brothers to make our father dream came true

This day would be my father 62nd birthday. On my brother & father birthday, my mother will cook pulut kuning & mee singapore for the occasion. We are not use to eat cakes since cakes are too sweet. My mother even prepared pulut kuning for my birthday & I love it.

Happy Birthday for Papa & Apad

There are a lot of songs that reminded me of my love life. So I decided to create an album cover of myself with the songs that captured the whole story of that time...

  • You Don't Have To Say You Love Me - Elvis Presley
  • Alguien Canto (The Music Played) - Matt Monro
  • I'll Never Find Another You - The Seekers

“After that summer nothing would ever be the same again.”

December Boys

A mature story about 4 orphan journey through life over one holiday on their birthday month. Maps, Spit, Spark & Misty met a loving couple, Fearless a former risk motorbike rider & his wife Teressa. Here they soon realize that they have something that they thought had lost before that is family. It was a mature story of 4 boys coming to age & understand the true meaning of life. Maps also met his first love, Lucy but in the end it was also his last one. The song in the movie was great especially the scene where Maps had his first kiss by Lucy. The title of the song was "
Who'll Stop The Rain by Creedence Clearwater Revival"

Long as I remember

The rain been comin' down.
Clouds of myst'ry pourin'
Confusion on the ground.
Good men through the ages,
Tried to find the sun;
And I wonder, still I wonder,
Who'll stop the rain.

I went down Virginia,
Seekin' shelter from the storm.
Caught up in the fable,
I watched the tower grow.
Five year plans and new deals,
Wrapped in golden chains.
And I wonder, still I wonder
Who'll stop the rain.

Heard the singers playin',
How we cheered for more.
The crowd had rushed together,
Tryin' to keep warm.
Still the rain kept pourin',
Fallin' on my ears.
And I wonder, still I wonder
Who'll stop the rain.

Phantom of The Opera

During the Hari Raya holidays, there was a movie played called the Phantom of The Opera starring Gerard Butler & Emmy Rossum. Yeah, it was romantic tragedy kind of film & to me it was very lovely. One of the song that are my favourites was Thinking of Me by Emmy Rossum.

The best part is Gerard Butler (known as King Leonidas in 300 & Kable in Gamers) was the phantom & he really can sing.

This was my favourites scene in the movie. I believe the love between the phantom & Christine is more passionate than Christine & Raoul

Songs For Life Part 2

On the previous post, Helas commented that he didn't have the chance to sing a song to his girlfriend(s). it's not to late to do it now you know. When I was in high school there are two song that my parent use to tease me about when they know that their son doesn't have a girlfriend.

A Man Without Love by Engelbert Humperdinck

I can remember when we walked together
Sharing a love I thought would last forever
Moonlight to show the way so we can follow
Waiting inside her eyes was my tomorrow
Then somethin' changed her mind, her kisses told me
I had no lovin' arms to hold me

Every day I wake up, then I start to break up
Lonely is a man without love
Every day I start out, then I cry my heart out
Lonely is a man without love

Every day I wake up, then I start to break up
Knowing that it's cloudy above
Every day I start out, then I cry my heart out
Lonely is a man without love

I cannot face this world that's fallen down on me
So, if you see my girl please send her home to me
Tell her about my heart that's slowly dying
Say I can't stop myself from crying

Every day I wake up, then I start to break up
Lonely is a man without love
Every day I start out, then I cry my heart out
Lonely is a man without love

Every day I wake up, then I start to break up
Knowing that it's cloudy above
Every day I start out, then I cry my heart out
Lonely is a man without love

Every day I wake up, then I start to break up
Lonely is a man without love
Every day I start out, then I cry my heart out
Lonely is a man without love

Mr Lonely by Bobby Vinton

I am so lonely, I'm Mr. Lonely
Wish I had someone to call on the phone

Now I'm a soldier, a lonely soldier
Away from home through no wish of my own
That's why I'm lonely, I'm Mr. Lonely
I wish that I could go back home

Letters, never a letter
I get no letters in the mail
I've been forgotten, yes, forgotten

Oh how I wonder, how is it I failed

Now I'm a soldier, a lonely soldier
Away from home through no wish of my own
That's why I'm lonely, I'm Mr. Lonely
I wish that I could go back home

Now Helas, you know how I feel when my parent tease their son^_^

Songs For Life Part 1

Am I that easy to forget?

They say you've found somebody new,
But that won't stop my loving you.
I just can't let you walk away,
Forget the love I had for you.

Guess I could find somebody, too,
But I don't wan't no one but you.
How could you leave without regret?
Am I that easy to forget?

Before you leave be sure you find
You want his love much more than mine.
'Cause I'll just say we've never met,
If I'm that easy to forget.

Before you leave be sure you find
You want his love much more than mine.
'Cause I'll just say we've never met,
If I'm that easy to forget.
If I'm that easy to forget.

Salam Aidilfitri to all my friend. Hope that you have a great holidays this year. For me, it's been glad that I went back home to JB. It was pretty same thing that I've during my school years with a quiet n peaceful day. Only the noise from the neighbour playing firecrackers. One of this days I'm gonna burn their houses if they start firing at my yard.hehe
Some of the old vinyl from the old collection. Too bad the turntable doesn't play anymore but I think I will buy a new one if I had some money in the future n it will be an honour if Mr Mus can help me with it.hehe
There are another three of my favourites that I forgot to put it here but I will do it anyway in weeks to come.

Hope everyone is safe n sound so we can start a new chapter of the adventure of life

Memories of 2009: The Last Waltz

My late father have been using his handphone for a year.I remember the last song that my late father requested from me to be store in his handphone. It was 'The Last Waltz by Engelbert Humperdinck'.To me it was a beautiful song when the first time I heard it.But I never thought that it was truly his last waltz with his family.

The Last Waltz

I wondered should I go or should I stay,
the band had only one more song to play.
And then I saw you out the corner of my eye,
a little girl, alone and so shy.
I had the last waltz with you,
two lonely people together.
I fell in love with you,
the last waltz should last forever.
But the love we had was going strong,
through the good and bad we get along.
And then the flame of love died in your eye,
my heart was broke in two when you said goodbye.
I had the last waltz with you...
It's all over now, nothing left to say,
just my tears and the orchestra playing.
La la la la la la la la la,
la la la la la la la la la.
I had the last waltz with you...
La la la la la la la la la.

Even it's called 'The Last Waltz',it will always live on inside of me in memories of my late father

Memories of 2009

On the Friday morning of 10th July 2009, I lost my beloved father after months battling bone cancer. I was there at the hospital, knowing that his time will come. I prayed to Allah if I was going to lose my father, I hope it will be on Friday. Allah answered my prayer and my father has his last breath after the azan for Subuh prayer.
To be honest I wasn’t very close with my late father during his lifetime but to me he was more than a father. He was a teacher, who teaches everything he could from medical, carpentry, electrical basic, engines, agriculture & Islamic studies to his sons. And all his knowledge’s come from his reading & experience. He shows me the beauty of reading and seeking new knowledge. I learn the art of calligraphy from him and to me he was the most skillful calligrapher I always remember. He was a father who always planned ahead for what he want to do and that how he raised his sons, to know and identify what the future hold.
I shared the same interest with my father in many ways. We love to listen to the songs from the 50s & 60s together & having Nescafe when listening to our favourite Keroncong tunes. We love the kampong life even though we live in the heart of Johor Bahru. He teaches his sons the values of taking care the family members & that how me & my 2 younger brothers will always remember: taking care each other & our mother.
2009 also left me with another sad moment when I lost my beloved grandmother on 15th January & now what left for me is my mother. To me this three people are what I treasured most.

And what I can do for my beloved father & grandmother is always recite Al-Fatihah & pray that Allah will bless their soul.

Amin...

One of my first sketch of Nuur Aida Syakira

Nuur Aida Syakira was my first comics that I wrote few years back in the year 2000. It's a story how friendship sometimes is the biggest love of all. This is how it goes:

Bermesra tanpa mengenal siapa dirinya. Tanpa tahu cantik atau burukkah dia. Tanpa kemesraan terjalin dari berpegang tangan. Tapi keikhlasan tiba-tiba muncul. Keakraban berputik hari demi hari. Tanpa cinta di balik tabir, hati mula resah. Sekali terdengar suara, berdegup jantung bagaikan guruh melanda. Cinta tiba-tiba mekar dari biasa. Hati timbul sayang teramat sangat.

I never finish the comics since I lost all the first sketch & storyboards of the story but the memories remain.

RM60000: Education or Business?

I don't know if this a relevant question but I would like to know what do you people think about it. RM60,000 is a lot of money & you know it. But which you will prefer to go for, further study or start your own business? Give an opinion on how you see it. You can add something to.

Education:
  • For RM60000, you could go for Degree in Engineering, Paramedic Courses, MBBS & etc
  • Get the result in 4-7 years
  • Get 5-4 digit salary after you have a job (it could be "if"depends on the economics)
Business:
  • For RM60000, you could open up a Cybercafe (10 PCs or your on farm (vegetables, goat & etc)
  • get result in 1.5 - 2 years depend on your own work rate
  • Maybe get 5-4 digit income in a month (depends on the market)

When I was tidying my laptop I came across with two albums
My favorites country band is Matthew & The Mandarins.Hahaha.
Matthew & the Mandarins is one of the most popular country and western group in Singapore. Two of their greatest hits were Singapore Cowboy and Let's Put The Sing In Singapore, both original compositions by Matthew Tan and Bristow Hopper. But I like the Singapore Cowboy more. If you listen to his voice, you never expected that he's a Chineese guy
" I was born half the world from Nashville Tennesse "

Another one is Ron Goodwin & His Orchestra

This is my favorite instrumental album by Ron Goodwin & His Orchestra from the album called "Music for An Arabian Night...Nice cover eh?
Originally this is from my father old vinyl record that was copy to a cd to my laptop.
My favourites song is The Moon & I, very soft & soothing song to listen & relaxing your mind

Keroncong....

As I was doing my homework's, I feel that I need to have some musics with it. There's a lot of song inside my PC but I decided to go for streaming the radio. Then I remember somethin' that I used to do with my father that I started when I was in form 3. Anybody know about "keroncong"? Not many people are attracted to "keroncong " music. Yes, I like keroncong just like my father like it. I love to listen to keroncong on Best 104 radio station that started everyday from 10pm to 2am. How to get the "feel" when listening to keroncong? simple, have a cup of hot coffee/nescafe, feel the midnight breeze & listen to the song. If you got a rocking chair, that's wonderful. Hehe....
I forgot to mention my favourite keroncong song is "Bengawan Solo" & "Di Bawah Sinar Bulan Purnama"

Manchester United is the champions of Premier League! Glory Glory Man Utd! After an agonizing draw against Arsenal at Old Trafford , Manchester United retain the Premier League title for the 3rd season in row. Even I was disappointing with the result nevertheless Manchester United still the champion of England. An interview with Sir Alex Ferguson after the match

Sir Alex: Now we go for 19

Sir Alex Ferguson was naturally delighted after claiming the 11th title of his remarkable tenure at Old Trafford - and the club's 18th overall. Here's the transcript of his first interview following the final whistle against Arsenal...

How nervy was that?
It was the longest ninety minutes in history. But we got there. There was only one save made in the match, by Edwin van der Sar with five minutes left. That tells you it was a cautious match.

Does the fact this title draws you level with Liverpool make it more special?
It will make it more special if we get in front of them. We want to progress with this team which they’re capable of doing. Next year we’re going to go for it again.

When you arrived here, you were 11 titles behind them. Can you believe you’re now level?
They were the greatest side in the land at the time. We built slowly but I never thought we could get eleven titles. Never in a million years. My main aim was to win one. Win the first one and see where it took us and of course we progressed so quickly after that.

Just how good is this current side of yours?
Oh, it’s a great side, a really great side and a great squad. I could have picked two teams today. Unfortunately I had to leave good players out like Scholes, Berbatov and Anderson. It’s not easy.

When Carlos Tevez came off, it looked like an emotional farewell. It looked like he was almost crying in the dug-out. If that indicates what this club means to him, that might be a good sign for you?
It is a good sign, it’s what we all want to hear. The boy knows we want him to stay. I thought he tired late on but he was playing on his own up front and it’s not easy. We needed a bit of freshness there so there was nothing in it (his substitution) other than that.

When you look back, was there a defining moment of the season for you?
I think against Stoke, at Stoke. Winning that game late on after coming back from Japan was a big challenge to us, a big test and we came through it. That was a great result for us.

How strong was Liverpool’s challenge?
Very good. Their players have done well. They won 4-1 here which was a travesty of a result because I didn’t think it was a 4-1 result. Nonetheless they got great impetus from that. I know it’s hard to defend a 4-1 defeat but I actually thought we played quote well in the game. But there you are, we lost four goals to long kicks, long passes and we didn’t recover, we lost the next game. That gave Liverpool the scent and they took the scent and credit to them as they battled away.

You’ve got a day off tomorrow, so are you going on a spying mission to Mallorca?
No, we’ve got the Player of the Year do tomorrow at Old Trafford so I can’t go. I would love to have gone but my brother will be there (watching Barcelona).

When it’s like this, how can you even contemplate contemplating retirement?
I’m not contemplating, definitely not contemplating. I’ll carry on and I’m going top stay as a manager. My health will tell me when to quit.

The way it is right now, that could easily be for another five years – is that fair?
Let’s pray. Let’s hope my health’s this good in five years.

Tonight at 12:45pm UK, the match that could decided Manchester United as the Premier League champions will start at Theater of Dreams. The opponent, Arsenal. Manchester United just need 1 point from the last 2 games started with Arsenal & then with Hull City. If Manchester United can retain the trophy it will equal the 18 trophies of Liverpool that stood for 19 years. Manchester United have been the most successful football club during this 19 years. Sir Alex Ferguson have built a monster out of Manchester United, winning 10 Premier League, 5 FA Cup, 3 Carling Cup & 2 Champions League during his 22 years of reign. Tonight it will be his 11th Premier League & if he win the Champions League against Barcelona, it will be his 3rd one. Sir Alex Ferguson is the most successful football manager in English history & ranked 4th in the 50 top Manager of All Time, behind Ernst Happel, Sir Matt Busby (another Man Utd legendary manager) & Rinus Michels.

In the recent interview his pre-match press conference:
“For me, I am not looking at equalling anyone. I think we should be looking at ourselves and this team has got a bit to go yet.“They could go on and win another five titles. That is more exciting for me and is the prospect that resonates with me far more than equalling others. The squad is young enough to win more titles and hopefully they can do it.”

Football Manager 2007

Kaka Pato Bojan

I'm a big fan of Manchester United not just for their achievement in the football world. I'm a fan of Sir Alex Ferguson & I wish I could learn from him. For the love of football, I played a management game called Football Manager 2007. Why I choose 2007 is because I was planning to create a lethal future strike force called the PaBo Strike. I also wanted to played Gourcuff on offensive role.In 2007, I got the opportunity to buy Alexandre Pato from Internacional & Bojan Krkic from Barcelona. And ever wonder if Kaka looks like when he goes to Manchester United.

I'll Never Find Another You

To tell the truth, I've a secret e-mail that I use to communicate with a special person. It's just a e-mail account that I created for a formal use in the future & no one knows about except a single person. It's a place to shared ideas & opinions on education & life. A place to express what I'm thinking & what to do next. That's why I choose this song by The Seekers because for me I can't find another one like this person.

The Seekers
Australian pop group The Seekers: Athol Guy,Keith Potger, Judith Durham and Bruce Woodley. I just love Judith voice, so nice & enchanting. This song shows how I appreciated that person for the help & friendship.

It been a stressful life now at KL and nowadays I always remember my hometown. I miss the life that I use to have. Now I'm planning to go back home and what I've to do now is waiting for the opportunity to come...This mornin' I've found something that make me smile. While I was writing this blog, I'm listening to The Seekers - I'll Never Find Another You. I've got the whole album of "The Best Of The Seeker" and make me want to go home more to share with my family... A little view of my home...It's the flower of the dragon-fruit in the mornin'. I always close to nature when I'm at home. I use to hear the mornin' bird chirping around & the mornin'n breeze enter my room. I learn to love nature from my family. Even though I live in city, kampung life is always in my heart. I use to grate coconut with the coconut grater or in Malay "kukur kelapa" just like this one

Friend or not....

What do people think about me? That's a nice question to be asked for the weekend. For most people, I'm not friendly at all. I wasn't good in getting along with others but it doesn't mean that I do not like them. But when I can get along with them, I will remember them. I got a friend that wasn't good with study & after secondary school went for Timbalan Setia Negeri that's a private army for the Sultan of Johor. He was a good friend of mine & still remember me.
All my so called high-class friend are missing & sometimes I will met them accidentally. I remember them from their faces but eventually they didn't. When they walk pass by me & I look back at them, remember all the things from school days. But I don't mind about it's because people have to walk different path in life to find their life true meaning, right?
I never shared knowledge with anyone but it doesn't mean I'm stingy. I share when it is useful to them because I don't want people to have impression that I'm boasting. Everything that come from others people are knowledge to me. I like to talk to older people for their experience in life as they have walk this world longer than I am.
I don't help people much unless their already tried themselves. Another thing is I'm not that good anyway. But if they already tried & I have something to offer,I will do my best.
I embrace life through death. From death I can learn to appreciate life & that's why I love a quote from a PC game called "Hellgate London" that is "Remember the Dead but Fight for the Living".
After all of that, there is still no answer.....

Oldies....A Walk Through Memory of Yesterday

Reflections of My Life

A song recommended by Mr Mus on the blog that I post about "How music effect your life?"
A song by a group called The Marmalade. Thanks Mr Mus for the recommendation:

Verse 1
The changing of sunlight to moonlight
Reflections of my life
Oh how they fill my eyes
Verse 2 (Repeat)
The greetings of people in trouble
Reflections of my life
Oh how they fill my eyes

Chorus
Oh my sorrows
Sad tomorrows
Take me back to my own home

Chorus (Repeat)
Oh my crying (Oh my crying)
Feel I'm dying, dying
Take me back
to my own home

Verse 3 (Repeat Verse 1)
I'm changing, arranging,
I'm changing,
I'm changing everything
Everything around me

Verse 4 (Repeat Verse 1)
The world is
a bad place
A bad place
A terrible place to live
Oh but I don't wanna die ...

Chorus (2 x)

When I look into it, I saw the words that I remember before "Take me back to my own home" that lead me to another of my favorite singer the late John Denver with the song "Take Me Home Country Road"

Almost heaven, west virginia
Blue ridge mountains
Shenandoah river -
Life is old there
Older than the trees
Younger than the mountains
Growin like a breeze

Country roads, take me home
To the place I belong
West virginia, mountain momma
Take me home, country roads

All my memories gathered round her
Miners lady, stranger to blue water
Dark and dusty, painted on the sky
Misty taste of moonshine
Teardrops in my eye

Country roads, take me home
To the place I belong
West virginia, mountain momma
Take me home, country roads

I hear her voice
In the mornin hour she calls me
The radio reminds me of my home far away
And drivin down the road I get a feelin
That I should have been home yesterday, yesterday

Country roads, take me home
To the place I belong
West virginia, mountain momma
Take me home, country roads

Country roads, take me home
To the place I belong
West virginia, mountain momma
Take me home, country roads
Take me home, now country roads
Take me home, now country roads

It make me want to go home more than ever.hehe

How songs effect your life? That is the usual question been asked by people when they are debating "How music have an effect on their life?". It's a different story for me because I've music that show how I feel for that day, week, month or maybe year. Today I got a very heartbroken news that make me feel miserable but luckily I've got music for any occasions that happen to me. This is the song that show how I feel after I heard the news

Hatebreed I Will Be Heard

But after a while I started to listen to Matt Monro - Walk Away as I thought I should move on...

Walk away, please go
Before you throw your life away
A life that I could share for just a day
We should have met some years ago
For your sake I say
Walk away, just go.

Walk away, and live
A life that's full
With no regret
Don't look back at me
Just try to forget
Why build a dream that cannot come true
So be strong, reach the stars now
Walk away, walk on.

If I heard your voice
I'd beg you to stay
So don't say a word
Just run, run away.

Goodbye my love
My tears will fall
Now that you've gone
I can't help but cry
But I must go on
I'm sad that I after searching so long
Knew, I loved you, but I told you
Walk away, walk on, walk on

Oldies....A Memory to be Remember

Once my friend ask me how did I learn my English & with a strange answer I reply "With oldies song that been introduced by my father, that's how".Yes I knew English from all the oldies song through my father. The likes of Elvis Presley, Engelbert Humperdinck, Cliff Richard, Gerry & The Pacemakers & many more are the source of learning for English in my younger days.

The song title is Bachelor Boy by Sir Cliff Richard. There is somethin' in this song that related to me if you know what I mean

A New Chapter Begin....

I once have an idea to create a blog but I don't know what to do with a blog until the day that my friends told me I need to create a blog for my English class homework. And now a new chapter begin & I welcomed you all to my world, World of Hazalee Hassan. For me every chapter of your life is worthy to be remember as a quote from the game Hellgate:London "Remember the Dead but Fight for the Living".Let this blog be the beginning of a new chapter to be remember.....
